Short answer

Garner Station is a street, not a subdivision. Most of what sits on Garner Station Blvd is retail, restaurant and warehouse space, so this page is mainly for businesses that need heating, cooling or refrigeration work, with a section for the nearby homes. The drive from our Clayton base to Garner is about 23 minutes (12 miles) without traffic. Call (919) 230-4439; Sunday service is the same price as a weekday.

What is actually on the boulevard

Wake County's property records show 37 parcels with a Garner Station Blvd address, and all 37 sit inside the Town of Garner limits (ZIP 27529). The building uses are mostly commercial: warehouse, retail and restaurant types. Most of the buildings went up in the 1990s, with a handful added in the 2010s and 2020s.

One detail in the county data matters for HVAC. Seven of those buildings are coded with unit heaters rather than ducted forced air. That is the hanging, ceiling-mounted heater you see in a warehouse bay or stockroom. They usually serve open floor space where a ducted system would make no sense. They also get ignored until the first cold morning when the bay will not warm up. If you run one of those spaces, an early-fall check of the heaters (venting, burner, controls) is cheaper than a service call the morning a crew is waiting to start.

Retail and restaurant spaces from the 1990s build-out are a different story. Many will be on packaged rooftop units or split systems, and a 1990s-era building has likely been through at least one round of equipment replacement already. Restaurants add a third load: walk-in coolers and freezers that cannot wait until Monday.

What we do for businesses here

An honest note: we have no completed jobs recorded on Garner Station Blvd itself yet. We work in Garner regularly and the corridor is on our route, but we will not claim history here that we do not have.

Homes near Garner Station Blvd

The street is not purely commercial. The county shows 27 residential parcels tied to it, inside subdivisions such as Lincoln Park South and North/South Station. Fourteen of those homes were built in the 1990s, with five from the 2010s and five from the 2020s (median year 1999). A late-1990s house in Garner has very likely already had its first heat pump or AC replaced. If yours is still on original equipment, it is well past the age where we would plan for replacement rather than wait for a July failure. For homes, start with heat pump service or AC repair.

Town of Garner permits and inspections

Because every parcel on the street is in town limits, mechanical permits here come from the Town of Garner Inspections Department (900 7th Ave, 919-773-4433). Garner takes applications only through its online SmartGov portal; paper applications are no longer accepted. On a commercial equipment change-out we file the permit and meet the inspector, so you are not chasing paperwork between tenants and landlords.

Electric and gas

The Town of Garner lists Duke Energy (Duke Energy Progress) for electricity. For natural gas, the town's utilities page names Enbridge Gas North Carolina, while another town directory entry still says PSNC. Those are the same company: Dominion sold PSNC to Enbridge on October 1, 2024. We did not confirm which buildings on this street have a gas service, so check your gas bill if you are not sure what fuels your heaters.
